Spread the word and reap the rewards! If you refer friends to buy a tank, you both get one jellyfish upgraded from small to medium size (a $17 value for each of you)! To receive your upgrade after you buy your tank, forward your pledge confirmation email from Indiegogo to info@jellyfishart.com with the message "I got a bigger jellyfish for [your friend's first and last names]!" Then tell your friend to forward their confirmation email from Indiegogo to info@jellyfishart.com with the message "[your first and last names] got me a bigger jellyfish!" We'll message you back when we've received both emails to confirm you'll both get one jellyfish size upgrade. You can get up to three size upgrades (because the tank comes with three jellies), but feel free to tell all your friends!
Strettttttch Goal -- If we reach $1M during this project, we'll automatically add a free small jellyfish to every one of our $250 reward packages (a $22 value)! That's not just three jellyfish, but four in total. Start the countdown!
One of the biggest improvements we have made to our company since our 2011 Kickstarter campaign is drastically improving our customer support system. We have attacked that from every angle by designing our product (and re-designing our existing products) to make jellyfish lifespan the top priority.
Tutorials at JellyfishArt.com/kb/start guide you through every step from setup to maintenance with instructional diagrams, videos and articles (see the Setup and Acclimation videos below)
All our jellyfish come with a 30-Day Guarantee, so we replace them for free if needed. In reality, the jellyfish live a lot longer than that in this tank. We actually don't know how long yet because the jellies in our first running prototypes from seven months ago are still kicking!
Your tank arrives in the first shipment and is easy to set up in ten minutes:
Then whenever you're ready for your non-stinging jellyfish, schedule your second shipment at JellyfishArt.com to be delivered to your doorstep. The $250 rewards include jellyfish, food and express shipping to anywhere in the contiguous U.S.. With the $150 reward, you can purchase jellyfish from us separately. Customers outside the U.S. can get the tank from us and get jellies from partner suppliers.
We gave a few early prototype tanks out to some experts in the marine biology and aquarium fields (and one to Vanilla Ice too). Brandon Rutherford (Illinois Science Teacher of the Year 2013), Matt Pedersen (Aquarist of the Year 2009 at the Marine Aquarium Society of North America), Mike Senske (co-founder of Aquarium Design Group) and Ron Shimek (prolific aquarium writer and PhD in zoology) give their expert feedback on our tank in this video:

Jellyfish Art has built a 100% sustainable breeding facility in our Florida warehouse to supply our customers with healthy jellyfish year-round. It is staffed with marine biologists and has earned the highest inspection rating of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Division of Aquaculture. Once your tank is set up, you can schedule delivery of your jellyfish from our facility at our website JellyfishArt.com.

In 2011, Alex Andon and Mark Regal crowdfunded the Desktop Jellyfish Tank in one of the first successful Kickstarter product launches, transforming his hobby into a real business, Jellyfish Art. In 2013 they teamed up with us, Reef Aquaria Design. We are one of the nation’s premier custom aquarium design companies, a family-run business with three generations of experience. By combining Reef Aquaria Design’s expertise with Alex's original vision, we were able to make the original Desktop Jellyfish Tank much easier for customers to operate and maintain. Over the past several years, Jellyfish Art has made significant upgrades to its jellyfish aquaculture operation to improve the quality and consistency of our moon jellyfish and significantly increase their lifespan.
Some custom tanks built by Reef Aquaria Design
Our story began in 1954 when Joseph Turner started building some of the first custom reef aquariums as a founding member of the Florida Marine Aquarium Society. He quickly became known as an expert in his field. His son, Jeff Turner, carried on the business and, with his wife Joleen, founded Reef Aquaria Design. Now their son Joe runs Jellyfish Art.
The largest private jellyfish aquarium in the world, built by our team, and our original founder Joseph Turner Sr. in 1954
We've created award-winning custom reef and jellyfish aquariums, including a 2,000-gallon coral reef exhibit at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History and the world's largest privately-owned jellyfish aquarium at the Coba Cocina restaurant in Kentucky. We even built a jellyfish tank with Vanilla Ice for his TV show on The DIY Network, The Vanilla Ice Project!

Jellyfish Art is committed to sustainability. Every year we help the conservation non-profit Coral Restoration Foundation transplant hundreds of threatened staghorn corals to the reefs surrounding the Florida Keys.

In March 2015, we created the Jellyfish Art Education Initiative to inspire the next generation of ocean stewards. We supply educators with jellyfish aquariums, give classroom presentations and lead marine biology field trips to teach kids about marine conservation. Please feel free to use our extensive Educator Resource Guide to turn your jellyfish aquarium into an immersive learning experience!
Education Through Jellyfish -- For every 100 tanks we sell on Indiegogo we'll donate a tank to a school. We invite all our Kickstarter backers to submit candidate schools and vote on them!

Jellyfish Art wouldn’t be here without you crowdfunders, and we can’t wait to launch this tank to you first!
**UPDATE**
We just finished up shipping out tanks to all our 2,371 Kickstarter backers. Now we're getting ready to ship the first batch to our Early Bird Indiegogo backers within this month!
